Week of Hope – Youth Servant Event

“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially those who are of the household of faith.” -Galatians 6:9-10

Typically each summer, youth from our church participate in a Week of Hope.  It is a week of serving God’s people and growing in faith through an experience like no other.

Youth Group

Youth group is open for youth in grades 9 through 12. We have weekly hang outs on Wednesday nights.  We use this time to catch up and to tackle tough questions about life and faith. The primary purpose is “to ignite, nurture and equip Christ-centered youth.”

Throughout the year, there are various events to be involved in, from serving Easter breakfast to pizza sales for our annual ski trip, state level youth gatherings to canoe trips and lock-ins.

High School Youth Ministry Team

Does your heart break for the teens of today’s society? Here is where you can serve to make a difference in their lives. The High School Youth Ministry Team works to plan events throughout the year “to ignite, nurture and equip Christ-centered youth.” Please contact Pastor Brian Doel if you would like to be involved.

LCMS Youth Gathering

national-youth-gatheringEvery 3 Years, OSLC sends youth and chaperoning adults to the LCMS National Youth Gathering. This event has regularly been an extremely significant point in the faith development of young people in the LCMS.  Workshops on real-life topics, crazy games and activities, and massive worship events.  OSLC sent a group of youth and adults to chaperone and take the whole experience in.  Contact Pastor Brian Doel if you have any questions or are interesting in attending an LCMS Youth Gathering in the future.
