Week of Hope-Youth Servant Event

Week of Hope is a community based servant event that focuses on participants building relationships with members of the community. Interested in attending or supporting this event, please contact Pastor Andy at pastorandy@oslcnow.com.

Looking for a short summer mission trip?  This past years we had an AWESOME time with Week of Hope.  It was amazing to go to another part of the country to serve a number of people in a large variety of ways: from packaging dry goods with Feed My Starving Children to assisting the elderly in various yard tasks, we all had the opportunity to act as servants.

For 2016 we will head south to beautiful Loveland, CO July 8-15!  This trip is open to students who are 12+.  Cost is $269 for registration, food and lodging with Week of Hope.  Transportation costs will also be decreased by fundraising.  I have 10 youth and 2 adult spots currently reserved, but we can change that if more people are interested!

Minot’s Norsk Hostfest-Volunteer Opportunities

OSLC is proud to have a significant part in Minot’s Norsk Hostfest!  Each year OSLC is in charge of setting up and staffing the Baron of Beef Booth, the Salad Booth, and the very popular Skandi Kitchen where we have Norwegian chefs fly in to make some of the best salmon, cod, meatballs and more you’ve ever had!  It takes over 100 people to make it happen, and if you volunteer for a shift you get a FREE TICKET!  You don’t even have to be a member of OSLC.  Volunteering is simple and fun, mostly  serving food in the assembly line and making sure everyone gets the delicious food they ordered. Contact the church office for more information.
